Wedding Favors Require Thought and Planning

Although wedding favors may not be the highlight of the wedding, they are a detail which you need to think about and plan for. Ideas for treats are generally plentiful so there are bound to be enough to suit your budget and taste. There is no longer any need to get stressed about what favors you intend to use. With the large range of wedding favors available it should make your decision easier and take less time.

One option for an easy wedding favor, especially popular with the ladies is flowers. There is virtually no preparation involved in this and depending on how many guests you have you may not have to order them well in advance.

You might consider giving your guests a single red rose as a favor and this is extremely appropriate because a rose is a symbol of love plus roses do not need to be wrapped. Placing the rose on the wedding reception table where the guests are seated is a nice touch and doesn’t need to be done until the last minute.

If you want to stick with a favorite easy wedding favor then use candy; it’s always a safe bet and it can be made to look attractive if nicely designed boxes or tins are used for storage. I like the idea that a number of receptions have started to use where the costly centerpiece is done away with completely. This method has been taken from an idea used by families at Christmas and uses a large glass bowl filled with different types of candy.

Each wedding guest can then have a small bag or box to place their favorite candy in to eat when they like. Of course this means that you won’t have to wrap anything yourself but it should get the thumbs up from everyone.

Although candy is popular, you may wish to give your guests a picture frame which is longer lasting and more useful. Where possible, try to find a way around wrapping wedding favors, especially the likes of picture frames which could take a considerable amount of time, not to mention the cost. By using the picture frames as placeholders provides a way around this, making it a gift that does not need to be wrapped.

An easy wedding favor that might appeal to your guests is to have the photographer take a digital picture of each guest and then present it to them at the wedding reception as they arrive. The photos can be printed out while the reception goes on and the guests will have a pleasant surprise at the end of the evening when they leave as their photo will be waiting for them.

Since everyone will be looking their best this is a wedding favor they will really enjoy; seeing themselves this way in a professional photo. As a little extra you could ask the photographer to have a slide show using MS Powerpoint or similar program on your laptop during the reception when guests can see the photos that were taken. A better idea would be to project the images on a screen for everyone to see (assuming each guest agrees).
